    Heat Pressing Instructions

Step 1 – Set Your Press

Use heavy pressure (around 60 lbs or the max pressure setting on your heat press).

Set temperature based on garment type:

    • Polyester & Tri-Blend: 275°F
    • 50/50 Blends: 300°F
    • Cotton: 310–325°F

    Step 2 – Pre-Press the Garment

Pre-press the garment for 3 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Step 3 – Position the Transfer

Place the transfer in the desired position on the garment.

Optional: A transfer alignment tool can help with perfect placement.

Secure the transfer with heat-resistant tape or painter’s tape so it doesn’t move.

Step 4 – Press the Transfer

Press for 3 seconds using the correct temperature:

    • Polyester & Tri-Blend: 275°F / 3 seconds
    • 50/50: 300°F / 3 seconds
    • Cotton: 310–325°F / 3 seconds

Step 5 – Peel the Film (Hot Peel)

Peel the film immediately after pressing.

If any part of the design doesn’t stick:

    • Lay the film back down.
    • Increase pressure if possible.
    • Increase temperature by +15°F and press again for 3 seconds.
    • Repeat in 15°F increments until the design adheres. Multiple presses will not damage the transfer.

Step 6 – Final Press (Finishing)

After removing the film, cover the design and press again for 3 seconds:

    • For a soft, matte finish: cover with parchment paper.
    • For a glossy finish: cover with a teflon sheet instead.

This final press improves durability, softness, and the overall look of the print.

    Care Instructions

    Storing DTF Transfers

Proper storage extends the life and quality of your transfers before they are pressed.

    • Store transfers flat – do not roll or fold.
    • Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
    • Avoid high heat sources (heaters, radiators, hot cars, etc.).
    • Keep transfers in a sealed bag or box to protect from dust and moisture.
    • Do not stack heavy items on top of transfers to prevent damage to the adhesive or ink.
    • Handle by the edges when possible to avoid oils from your hands on the print area.
    • For best results, use transfers within a few months of purchase or as recommended by your supplier.

    After Application (On Garment)

Follow these wash and care guidelines to maximize the life of your print:

    • Wait at least 24 hours after pressing before the first wash.
    • Turn the garment inside out before washing.
    • Wash in cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle.
    • Use mild detergent. No bleach or strong chemicals.
    • Avoid fabric softeners if possible (they can affect adhesion over time).
    • Do not dry clean.
    • Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry for longest life.
    • If ironing is needed, iron the garment inside out or cover the print with parchment paper. Do not iron directly on the print.
    • Avoid high heat from industrial dryers or repeated high-temperature cycles.

Following these care guidelines will help your DTF prints stay bright, flexible, and durable for as long as possible.
